Q: What is MegKF
A: MegKF is a scanlation group.
Q: What are scanlations?
A: Scanlation is a word that fuses the terms Scan and Translation. Scanlations are the end result for when a manga (graphic novel/comic book) from Japan, Korea or China is released on-line in English for download onto your computer.
Q: Who founded MegKF and why such a lousy name?
A: MegKF founded MegKF back one Spring Break when she was really bored. She had scans and translations for Hana-Kimi and edited them, very poorly at that. And felt they should be shared no matter how bad the editing was. Siana from Shoujomagic inserted the MegKF nick onto the zips so people would know who did it... And MegKF was just too lazy later on to change it so it stuck.
Q: How often are you going to release a chapter?
A: MegKF tried to make a release a week, but with real life and few staffers sometimes it's just not as fast as we'd like.
Q: I don’t want to have to visit your site every day to see if you’ve made a release and I don’t always check manga release tracking sites, is there another way to know when you make a release?
A: Yes, MegKF announces her releases in her yahoo group. You can join the yahoo group at . All you have to do is set it to Special Notice and you’ll only receive the update e-mails.
Q: Where can I download your projects?
A: Come to the IRC channel #MegKF@irc.irchighway.net. If you don’t know what IRC is, please see the IRC guide...
Q: What are the rules in your IRC channel?
A: No @find, no listing the ops, no spamming the channel, no recruiting for another team, no unnecessary scripts.
Q: I want to help, is there anything I can do?
A: We are always looking for Japanese, Chinese and/or Korean translators, experienced editors and QCers. PM MegKF in IRC or e-mail her at Megancata1@yahoo.com.
Q: I want to scanlate one (or more) of your series into another language. What do I do?
A: If you agree to the rules and no one else is already re-scanlating it to that language we usually say yes. Just contact MegKF and ask.
Q:I love one of your scanlation projects. Can I host it for direct download?
A: If you agree to the rules then yes, but get permission from MegKF first.
Q: I would love to purchase a copy of one of your projects, where can I get it?
A: Check out the Where to Buy page for more information.
Q: Can I link your website on my site? And will you link back?
A: So long as it’s a relevant website (i.e. having at least SOMETHING to do with manga), then sure. But make sure you let us know first.
